How Sports built my photography Career

Although it may not have been the experience I entered into, taking the team's photos helped me to build confidence in my photography skills and my portfolio which eventually led to ThroughGillsLens, my own side photography business.

Going into my freshman year of college, I intended to continue my soccer career. When my lower back gave out on me physically, Coach Arlet of the Mercyhurst Women's Soccer Team saw my value despite my inability to continue playing. He decided to keep me around on the team first as a co-manager and then as the team's Photographer/ Videographer.
